MARK FREIBURGER (Director/Producer)
Mark Freiburger graduated from the North Carolina School of the Arts in 2005. It was there that he met screenwriters Travis Beacham and Chris Waild, combining their talents in a collaboration on ''Dog Days of Summer''. Prior to Dog Days, Mark directed numerous short films and a small handful of music videos for EMI Records and the BET network. Mark is currently developing his 2nd directorial feature based off the novel "Jimmy" by best-selling author Robert Whitlow. "Jimmy" is described as "A poignant southern tale in the tradition of To Kill A Mockingbird... with a powerful supernatural twist." Mark currently resides in Los Angeles and splits his time between the City of Angels and the American South.
JASON BEHRMAN (Co-Producer)
Jason Behrman is a graduate of Oklahoma University and spent his early years in Hollywood as the Assistant to director Betty Thomas, working on such films as "Dr. Dolittle", "Can't Hardly Wait" and "28 Days". Jason eventually branched off and founded his own production company, Highway 9 Films, in which he has been involved in producing or co-producing a number of indie films, "The Climb", "Bobby Jones: Stroke of Genius" and "Farewell Bender" which was recently sold to The Weinstein Company.
RICK ELDRIDGE (Executive Producer)
Rick Eldridge is the CEO of The Film Foundry in Charlotte, North Carolina. Rick served as the producer on "Bobby Jones: Stroke of Genius" and most recently on "The Ultimate Gift" starring Abigail Breslin, which was released by 20th Century Fox. He also produced the documentary film "Running the Sahara", narrated by Matt Damon.
TRAVIS BEACHAM (Screenwriter)
Travis Beacham has been working as a screenwriter in Los Angeles since his graduation from the North Carolina School of the Arts in 2005. In addition to "Dog Days of Summer", Travis sold his spec script "Killing on Carnival Row" to New Line Cinema and was hired to pen a draft of "The Clash of the Titans" remake for Warner Brothers.
CHRISTOPHER J. WAILD (Screenwriter)
Immediately following his graduation from The North Carolina School of the Arts, Chris ran off and got married. He now lives in Los Angeles with his charming wife, Kerri. After multiple short films, "Dog Days of Summer" marks the first feature collaboration with NCSA grads, director Mark Freiburger, and screenwriter, Travis Beacham. Most recently Chris co-wrote the season 5 finale for the hit CBS network series "NCIS". <<<Return to Cast |
