Dog Days has been nominated in the “Best Feature over $250,000″ category for the 2007 ICVM Crown Awards. This year’s conference will be held in Atlanta during the second week of July. The awards ceremony is scheduled for Saturday, July 14th.

On the sales front… Koan, Inc is beginning to have more offers for the film come in from overseas.

For those living in north eastern North Carolina, the filmmakers are planning a theatrical premiere at the Taylor Theater in Edenton this Fall. We’re currently looking at mid to late September as a possibility.

Director Mark Freiburger has been hired by novelist Robert Whitlow, filmmaker Gary Wheeler and Level Path Productions to adapt and pen the first draft screenplay for the new film THE SACRIFICE. The screenplay is based off Robert Whitlow’s novel with the same name. It’s a dark drama about a high school shooting in the American South. First actors attached to star in the film are Malcolm McDowell and Hilarie Burton, both of which starred in the first film by Robert and Gary, THE LIST.
